Food Pantry
The Eastside Community Ministry Food Pantry provides emergency groceries to families and individuals. We provide grocery items for three days for each family member through our Choice Pantry. The Choice Pantry allows the person to choose for themselves the foods they and their family likes to eat from the selections we have. This provides dignity to the person and by choosing the foods their families will eat costs less because food is not wasted.
We are members of the Muskingum County Hunger Network. This system ensures that the location of each person's assigned pantry is as convenient at possible and that each person visits only one pantry. Our staff members volunteer many hours of service to Operation Feed, which collects food throughout the area for distribution through the food pantries in the Hunger Network.
The Eastside Community Ministry Food Pantry is the emergency backup pantry for the United Way of Muskingum, Perry & Morgan Counties which cares for the needs of homeless and emergency needs when a person's regular pantry is closed. |
