Development Director & Youth Program Director

Joey Pennybaker Osborn graduated with honors from Philo High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Denison University.  Joey finished her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Muskingum College in 2007. Joey has been with Eastside since February 2005.

Joey is active on the Muskingum County Community Foundation Council, Zanesville Daybreak Rotary, Muskingum Family Y's Women of Achievement Committee, and Faith United Methodist Church.  Joey and her husband, Sam, own and operate OsbornPhotography.

Life SkillS Coordinator for the Youth Program

Shannon Harlan is a 1996 graduate of Maysville High School and graduated in 2001 from Muskingum Area Technical College (now Zane State) with her Associate Degree in Social Work. Shannon has been with Eastside Community Ministry since March 2005. Prior to coming to Eastside, she was a preschool teacher for 3 ½ years at a local preschool. Shannon volunteers with various projects within the community including Lace Up for Kids, Solid Gold Jazz and Rib Fest, Taste of Color, and Zanesville Civic League. She is also a volunteer at Grace Wesleyan Church, where she has been attending her entire life.

Youth Program Worker

Kevin Quinn is a 2007 graduate of John Glenn High School. Kevin is currently attending Muskingum University while majoring in Public Accounting and Business as well as minoring in Economics and Philosophy. Kevin has been with Eastside since September 2007 through volunteer work and interning the past three summers. Kevin has grown up working on his family farm, The Wilson Family Farm, that has been in operation for more than 100 years, making it an official Ohio Century Farm located in Zanesville.

Youth Program Worker

Lora Thomas is currently attending Mount Vernon Nazarene University working on her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Lora previously attended Zane State College for the Human Service Assistant Program. Lora has five children ages 6-17. She has been married 13 years and is very active with her family. Lora is a member of Grace Wesleyan Church where she teaches children's church.

Pantry Manager and Receptionist

Kathryn Moyer began at Eastside as a WEP worker in 1998, and became a staff member in 1999 and has been at Eastside since, serving as the Food Pantry Manager and Receptionist. She is also member of the Hunger Network of Muskingum County. She has two grown children, two children at home, and eight grandchildren.

Maintenance Supervisor

Joe Barclay has been with Eastside for many years as a board member and volunteer. He joined the staff in 2005 following 12 years as Customer Returns Coordinator at Longaberger. Joe is an Air Force Veteran and a life-long member of Central Presbyterian Church. Joe and his wife Donna live in Zanesville and have two grown children.

Book-Keeper

Melissa Staker is one of our newest staff members. She has worked in bookkeeping for many years.

Melissa has been married since 1988. She and her husband have two adult daughters and a son in elementary school. She is very active with family and church. Melissa has been a Girl Scout Troop Leader, has held the offices of Secretary and President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Ohio Child Conservation League, and was very active in Zane Trace Players Theatre.
