The Tools for School program will help low-income children and teens in 1st – 12th grades in Muskingum County School Districts begin the school year on a positive note by providing each one of them with a backpack filled with the supplies for his/her school and grade. To meet this goal, we are asking for your help in collecting supplies and packing backpacks. This is a wonderful project for churches, organizations, businesses and anyone interested in helping young people in our community. You may bring supplies to the Eastside office. Monetary donations are also gladly accepted. The cost of a backpack full of supplies could be upward of $55 depending on the student’s grade. Please make checks payable to ECM and mark it “Tools for School”. Supplies will be packed July 30 & 31 and Distributed on Thursday, August 1 at the Zanesville High School on Blue Avenue. Individuals and groups interested in helping may call Tools for School Committee Member, Barb Zirke at 740-454-7675 (leave a message) or the ECM office at 740-452-7519.
